I'm often surprised when I talk with friends and neighbors, or even members for that matter, who don't realize that TransWest Does Mortgage Loans.In fact, there are a number of reasons to consider TransWest for mortgage lending:
TransWest has done 30-year FIXED rate loans since 1986! These loans are essentially no different from those you would get from a mortgage broker. Like the broker, we can sell a 30-year loan to an investor but, because we value our good relationship, we can usually beat the closing costs of your broker. If for some reason we fail to beat their fees, you’ll get $100 just for giving us the chance to compare.
In order to get the best rate, we have the option to sell your loan to a secondary lender or keep it in-house, often with no fee. TransWest has a variety of in-house loan programs including NO FEE loans.
Experienced loan officers are the key to helping you make the right mortgage decisions. Our loan officers have at least 10 years of mortgage lending experience, some with more than 30 years. Knowledge and experience are important factors in keeping up with the changes happening in the mortgage industry.

As I have grown older and larger around the middle, I have found online tools to help me track my activity and monitor what I eat with the end result of becoming healthier. Mint.com is a safe, online tool that will help you become financially healthy at any age. It tracks your spending activities by category, such as entertainment, groceries, etc., and monitors how you spend your money. With this kind of knowledge you will be able to create a budget for yourself and/or your family and grow your financial situation to a healthier level. -Matthew Rood, Chief Operations Officer
RECAP: ANNUAL MEETING
The 2012 Annual Meeting on March 16th was a big success with over 250 in attendance! 13 staff members were awarded for reaching service benchmarks from 5-30 years and 10 lucky members won prizes. Mr. Jim Saley and Mr. Karl Bunker were elected by acclamation to serve on the TWCU Board of Directors. To top off the evening, Mr. Walt Gregory performed his one-man-one-ring circus act and led the audience in the first ever TransWest Kazooathon!

It’s time to submit your photographs and financial tips for the 2013 Calendar!
Photographs should be Utah scenics, full color, landscape format only (11" x 8.5"), high resolution (300 dpi). Maximum of 2 images per member.
Financial Tips are your good ideas on how to save money, prepare for the future, cut costs - whatever is working for you.
To submit photos and financial tips, mail to Attn: Marketing, TransWest Credit Union, PO Box 65218, Salt Lake City, UT 84165-0218. Or email photos and financial tips to: marketing@transwestcu.com.
Be sure to include your name as you’d like it printed in the calendar and identify the location of your photos. Submissions must be received by July 1, 2012.
