TransWest Credit Union (TWCU) Announces New President/CEO Bret H. Rigby

 
 

SALT LAKE CITY, UT., February 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- TransWest Credit Union (TWCU) Board of Directors announced the appointment of Bret H. Rigby as its President/CEO, effective on 9 February 2015.

With his appointment, Mr. Rigby brings extensive knowledge of financial services, strategic planning and marketing to his new position. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Rigby served as the CEO of Deepwater Industries Federal Credit Union (DIFCU) located in Pennsville, NJ. He was hired as the CFO of DIFCU in 2006 and was promoted to CEO in 2011. During his 9-year tenure, DIFCU grew over 55% ($30 million) in assets.

Before joining DIFCU, Mr. Rigby was the VP of business development for the Center for Cultural Studies and Analysis, a marketing and strategic analysis firm. He is also a 12 year veteran of the Dairy Industry, the first 7 years at the US Department of Agriculture where he was responsible for oversight of all federally funded dairy promotion programs and later he ran a regional trade association that marketed milk and cheese using the "Got Milk?" and "Ahh the Power of Cheese" advertising campaigns.

Mr. Rigby was born in Logan, Utah while his parents attended Utah State University and later lived in several locations, including Hawaii and Germany while his father served in the U.S. Army. He earned a BA in political science from BYU and a MBA from George Washington University. He also earned his Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) from CUNA.
