Help us put a stop to financial crime. By following these five steps you can protect yourself and your family from becoming victims of fraud.

  • Never give out your account information online or on the telephone.
  • Never give your PIN or access code to anyone. Keep all your passwords private.
  • If you receive an email with an attached link, type the link in the address bar instead of “clicking” on the link. You never know where that link will take you.
  • When you purchase anything on the internet be sure that the site is secure by looking for the little yellow lock on the bottom right side of the screen.
  • Never enter your VISA number into a WEB site just to “verify” your card number. The credit union already knows your card number and won’t ask you for it.

It is important to remember that TransWest Credit Union will never ask for your account information through electronic communications of any kind.
